Dry Skin

Restore moisture and protect the skin barrier

Dry skin, also called xerosis, often comes from cold or dry air, hot showers, harsh soaps, aging, or over-washing. The strongest home-care pattern is simple: use lukewarm water, avoid stripping cleansers, and apply a thicker moisturizer or ointment right after washing while skin is still damp. Aloe vera can soothe mild irritation, coconut oil can work as a body moisturizer for some people, and honey or chamomile are best framed as gentle supporting ingredients. Cracked, bleeding, painful, infected, widespread, or persistent dry skin, eczema-like rashes, severe itching that disrupts sleep, or dry skin from cancer treatment should be evaluated by a clinician or dermatologist.
